Albert Johansson was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings 60th overall in 2019 and played in Sweden's Swedish Hockey League for Farjestad BK, recording 57 points in 141 games. He spent two seasons with Grand Rapids of the AHL, playing in 119 games with 11 goals and 35 points. Johansson was promoted to the NHL in the 2024-25 season after establishing himself as a two-way defenseman.
