LARKIN GONE WHEN?

@MotorCityMolly, kid, I'm reading the same reports as everyone else. It's hard to predict what'll happen in free agency, but it seems like Larkin hasn't signed yet, so we should give him and the front office some time.

tbh i agree, lets give him a lil time, we got some solid young C prospects comin up from GR, finnie for one looks pretty promising imo

@WingsInFour: I'm telling ya, Gabe, Finnie's the future but we can't rely on him coming in as a 2nd line C right away. @GordieHoweElbows is spot on about giving Larkin some space to sign his deal!

Finnie's got some talent but we can't count on him as a 2nd line C right now, need someone with more experience ASAP! Let's give Larkin time to sign his deal and hope for the best. LGRW!!!

@HockeytownHank FINNIE'S SKILL IS REAL but I think we gotta be patient, Larkin is gonna sign his deal and it's a bigger picture thing.

@PuckBunnyPam I'm not saying we should be patient just for the sake of being patient, but having Larkin sign his deal wouldn't necessarily solve our problems at center. We still have other issues that need addressing regardless of his decision.

@OctopusOnIce, I think you're spot on - our youth movement's promise doesn't change the fact that we need veteran presence at center ASAP, and Larkin's deal isn't just about filling that void but also making cap space for other moves.

Expecting a strong push from Detroit to get this done quickly given their Calder Cup win last year should help them in negotiations with Larkin as well, not sure how much longer the "wait for Finnie" narrative will hold water.

@WingNutWendy I think you're hitting on something important there - the cap space that Larkin's deal would free up is crucial for our roster construction this offseason. @fenwickfan made a similar point earlier and it's definitely worth considering.
