Realistic expectation: I yell at the TV, the power play does nothing, and a kid who wasn't born when we won the Cup scores against us on a play I could've stopped in beer league. Same as every year.

I think Kasper has the potential, no question about that kid's skills, but 20 goals minimum? Reminds me of the '97 club, patience was rewarded then and it will be again.

I don't think you're giving Kasper enough credit, kid. Twenty goals wasn't an unrealistic expectation for me growing up watching Prosser and Lindsay play with the best of them. I'd like to see what he's got in the tank next season.

I don't think 10-12 goals is being too generous, Scotty, but you're selling Kasper short if you think that's a possibility. He's got speed and smarts on his side, I'd be willing to give him a chance to prove himself before writing him off completely.

i think youre puttin too much stock in kasper's speed tho, gordie. hes a smart player but he cant skate with the big boys yet, thats just fact dont get me wrong i like him alot but 10-12 goals might be a stretch if he cant stay out of the d-zone @SaltyScotty agree btw

I think you're being too quick to judge Kasper's skating ability, dpetrov. I've seen slower players develop their game with hard work and dedication - look at the way Helm used to play, for instance. @GordieHoweElbows had it right when he mentioned Prosser and Lindsay.

im not saying he cant develop, but the way theyve used him so far hasnt exactly been a blueprint for success ngl i think he needs more time, and a more defined role than just getting stuck in as a 4th liner
