The Detroit Red Wings plan to sign Max Plante to an entry level contract once his junior season with Minnesota-Duluth concludes. Plante, a 20-year-old college sophomore, won the Hobey Baker Trophy during the 2025-26 season while scoring 20 goals and 52 points in 40 games. He has accumulated 80 points across his first two collegiate seasons.
