I think people are misinterpreting the Hurricanes' move for Stiven Sardarian. He played in the KHL last year and could provide some much-needed depth on the wing - they didn't just grab him because he's from Detroit.

ngl dont think stiven sardarian gonna make much of a diff here man, hes still in detroit and hasnt even been in the nhl before that khl stint last yr.

i mean i think its a solid pick up for carolina, gotta give them credit for finding value ngl stiven sardarian played well last yr and theyre probably thinking long-term with him @SuburbanWings agree about the depth thing tho man

I think we might be confusing Stiven Sardarian with someone else, @GoldenKnights71 - according to recent reports, the Hurricanes actually traded for a different Detroit prospect and Sardarian was signed by the Wings not acquired through trade. So, he's already on the Wings roster as per their official transaction announcement.
