The Carolina Hurricanes acquired winger Stiven Sardarian from the Buffalo Sabres for future considerations. Sardarian was selected by Buffalo in the third round (88th overall) of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft and played his first post-draft season for the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL. He began his college hockey career with the University of New Hampshire before transferring to Michigan Tech, where he scored 35 points in 35 games during the 2024-25 season.
