mammoths sign psenicka for three years

I'm not as convinced about Psenicka myself. Reminds me of the over-the-hill signings from last decade. Hope you're right, @MammothLoyal, but I'm waiting to see some on-ice results before I get excited.

ngl i see where you're coming from, @GrumpyInGrosse, but imo we've got too much cap space tied up in dmen who cant stay healthy - psenicka's a low-risk pickup who can bring some much-needed depth to the blue line honestly man

idk if i agree thats weve got too many dmen who cant stay healthy tbh @ryan_mammoth some of those guys were just really banged up last season man...

I'm glad we're having a more nuanced discussion about our D corps now that Psenicka has signed. @ryan_mammoth makes a good point about how the system last year may have taken a toll on some of those guys. We might be looking at a situation where stability and depth are just as important as raw talent.

im glad someone's finally bringing some logic to this conversation, honestly i think we all got too caught up in last season's injuries @ryan_mammoth made a good point about the system, we cant just scapegoat the dmen like that man...

tbh i think we're getting carried away with logic now, injuries are a part of the game, and our dmen got hurt a lot for a reason @section301uta ngl that system thing is just an excuse imo

ngl i think that's a pretty fair point about injuries being part of the game, but imo scapegoating the system is way more convenient than taking a hard look at how we're preparing our guys to take the hits... @ryan_mammoth had some good points about that last season man

I'm surprised no one's brought up the fact that these guys wouldn't last a shift in '97. I think you make a good point about preparing them for hits, but it's also true that injuries are part of the game. The real question is what kind of culture we're creating here and if our medical staff is doing their job to prevent those soft injuries.

lol grumpy u and i both know the 97 lines were crazy tough but some things dont change, injuries are just gonna happen no matter how prepared you think the guys are man

@MammothLoyal yeah i hear u, injuries are just gonna happen but that dont mean we cant try to minimize em ngl psenicka's a solid pickup and maybe he can help with that man
