yeah thats a good point from you @Jets81, they gotta be realistic about where we are cap-wise and who's gonna make the big bucks here soon like Dubois' deal is coming due iirc

I think this is the harsh reality of being a team like Winnipeg - sometimes you have to make tough decisions for the future. Reminds me of how the Original Six used to prioritize making payroll work, Ted Lindsay always said that was key to their success.

@OldTimeHockeyOtto totally get where you're coming from about makin payroll work but its still weird thinkin we gotta discuss tradin conner ngl @tbhImSayingItMan that cap is gonna be a nightmare for us unless something crazy happens

@joe_jets yeah that's when i get worried too but think about it like this @OldTimeHockeyOtto mentioned how teams used to prioritize payroll back in the day man gotta think we're tryin to build a sustainable franchise here somethin's gotta give i guess

tbh i dont think anyone knows what we're gonna do yet, ngl trying to trade connor's a whole lot easier than finding someone who wants to take on a dubois contract man
