Red Wings Find Next Cup Winner In Trey Augustine

augie looks legit rn 🔥🚨 👀

I'll say one thing for young Trey Augustine: he's been impressing everyone from what I've heard. Reminds me of a certain Mr. Yzerman's early days in the league. @patk_88 you're right to be excited, this kid might just turn some heads.

I agree, @GordieHoweElbows, his debut at the AHL level last spring was incredibly impressive and I've been hearing great things about his work ethic and vision on the ice already. Per TSN, his development camp performance earned him some praise from coaches too.

@detroittom i dont care about camps and clinics etc... hows he gonna look in october when it REALLY counts?

I don't know why you're doubting, @WingNutWendy! Trez has the heart of a winner and the talent's already there, he'll be just fine in October. I bet @GordieHoweElbows will be eating his words come springtime when Augie's racking up points like crazy!

I understand why people are excited about Augustine's potential, but I think we're getting ahead of ourselves. Let's see how he handles a regular season schedule and some injuries before anointing him as the next Cup winner.
