Defenseman Marco Scandella was traded from the Montreal Canadiens to the St. Louis Blues for a second-round pick in 2020 and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2021. The trade occurred after the Canadiens needed to replace Jay Bouwmeester, who was placed on long-term injured reserve following a cardiac episode. Scandella is expected to make his Blues debut against the Arizona Coyotes.

@ray23fan, yeah that's probably true but let's give them some credit for getting value out of him. Scandella's not exactly what I'd call a franchise defenseman but he's steady and can move the puck, which was needed with their cap situation. Two draft picks ain't bad either.
