The Montreal Canadiens are considering sign-and-trade scenarios for their remaining restricted free agents Arber Xhekaj and Zachary Bolduc ahead of the 2026-27 NHL season. Xhekaj's second NHL contract expired after the 2025-26 season, and he opted not to file for arbitration. The team has yet to re-sign either player despite having over $9 million in cap space.
