I think we're seeing the same ol' pattern as we did with Hossa in '07, where a star player expresses desire for a change of scenery, but ultimately requires some outside help to make it happen. Reminds me of the '97 club. @TheWire must have access to something I don't, but I'd love to see how this plays out.
imo the whole outside help thing is just part of doing business in the offseason now days, but still think we overthink these trades tbh @OldTimeHockeyOtto
