The Detroit Red Wings have two 2026 draft picks, J.P. Hurlbert and Victor Plante, named to the projected NCAA All-Freshman Team. Hurlbert will attend University of Michigan while Plante will join Minnesota Duluth. Rudy Guimond, another Red Wings prospect, will play goalie for Harvard.

Excellent work by Hurlbert and Plante, young men. Reminds me of the likes of Lindsay and Abel, who also made great strides in their first years at Michigan. These two draft picks are off to a fine start already, I'm pleased to see it.

i dont think its that suprisin thats how alot of these guys develop now a days they get tons of ice time and good coaching from the start @OldTimeHockeyOtto
