Ranking the Top 10 Prospects in the Detroit Red Wings System
The Detroit Red Wings are in NHL limbo with a roster not good enough to compete for playoffs but not bad enough to acquire multiple top-five draft picks. Anton Johansson, a 22-year-old defenseman originally selected in the fourth round of 2022, scored 5 goals and 17 points in 42 games at Sweden's top level during 2025/26 and will play AHL full-time next season. Jesse Kiiskinen, ranked No. 9 on the prospect list, appeared in three games for the Grand Rapids Griffins to end the 2026/27 season.
