ngl alex's deal is a worry but lets not get ahead of ourselves we still dont know whats gonna happen with the rfa market and our cap space this offseason man

yeah idk how cap space becomes an issue, we still got 40 mil or whatever, it's not like we're gonna be hurting for cash man

yeah we had like $42 mil before last season ended and didnt make any huge moves tbh, i'm kinda curious how hes gonna get paid this year with all the big names hitting the market @kwilson

yeah no kidding we're good for cap space dont think theyre gonna cut ties with ovechkin anytime soon imo

@section5wsh exactly, that's one of the reasons I'm confident in Yzerman's ability to navigate this offseason and get us where we need to be. We've got our own cap space concerns with guys like Filppula and Mrazek coming due for extensions.

yeah we still gotta see who gets poached by other teams and what kind of deals theyre gonna offer tbh man, cant just sit back and assume we'll keep our top guys imo

tbh i agree we cant just assume our top guys will stay, gotta see how free agency shakes out and who else is getting signed man @kwilson was right about the huge names hitting the market this year's gonna be crazy

man i think we're being way too chill about free agency, its gonna get ugly fast tbh i mean you look at the rumors and it sounds like every team's getting aggressive ngl we gotta be ready for some serious offers on filppula if he hits the market

man i think we're getting ahead of ourselves tbh the cap space is our biggest concern rn and i don't want them mortgaging our future for some free agent signings @kwilson's name keeps popping up in rumors tho lol
