idk what the bruins are thinkin, marchenko is a solid defender but there's gotta be someone with more upside idc if we're losing him or not @OP

I think Marchenko's a good guy, but he doesn't exactly have that 'upside' you're looking for. He's a solid one-timer from the point and can play some D, but I wouldn't say he's got a lot of room to grow as a player.

Reminds me of the '97 club. Patience was rewarded then and it will be again.

@BruinsEnjoyer idk man i think grumpy hits on some good points there... solid guy but not exactly someone you build around ngl i'm still hoping for something to shake up the D though

yeah i see what u mean @section301bos, grumpy's points are valid but im still holding onto hope we find someone who can push the young d guys for playing time and give us that top 4 presence we've been missing man maybe just wishin' a little too hard tho

cant argue with that bruinsey man it's like, we keep saying solid but elite, but when i look at the cap situation and our current d depth, idk how we upgrade from "solid" tbh
