I think we need to take a deep breath and remember what Gordie himself would've wanted for Larkin's future. Hanging onto talent isn't always about loyalty, @SharksNation - sometimes it takes a tough decision like trading a core player to win a championship.

lol same thing always happens det gets some shiny prospect and they forget about the current guys, i mean who's gonna step up for them now?

@SharksNation I'm not so sure we should be gloating about Detroit's roster woes just yet. They've got some decent young players coming up, and this trade might finally give them the freedom to develop their own system rather than sticking with Larkin out of obligation. Mark my words, it'll take a season or two for the effects to show, but they might just surprise us.
