I'm still thinking they'll bring back Yzerman or someone from his crew, I think it's a smart move to go internal for this role. We don't need some outsider coming in and trying to change the culture we've built. LGRW!

TRADED Cossa IS EXACTLY THE PROBLEM!!! we need someone who's gonna make some TOUGH CALLS and stop throwing away our futures!

@HockeytownHank is totally right though, trading Cossa was a huge miss imo and shows they don't even know what they're doing here. We need someone with some actual brains making decisions, not just sticking with the same old guys who've been screwing up this team for years

I agree with you that trading Cossa and having no GM is a huge concern! We need someone who can identify talent and make sound decisions in the front office, like @SaltyScotty mentioned.

@DetroitTom, I think we're getting caught up in knee-jerk reactions here. Trading Cossa wasn't a huge miss, kid - he was a rental and his value got what it got. We need to wait and see who they bring in as GM before making any judgments, not just assume they're incompetent.

@OctopusOnIce at least they're calm about it, unlike some of us who are freaking out for no reason per ESPN's latest rebuild rankings, we're still #2 despite the Cossa trade and some questionable free agency moves so let's wait and see.
