merkulovs gotta be the new guy right?

What makes you think it's Merkulov now? The Red Wings passed on bigger fish with Rasmussen. I just don't see the point in signing another free agent forward.

I think it's wise to give Merkulov a chance, much like we did with Ville Leino back in '09. He's got some decent tools and it doesn't hurt to have another young forward come in.

i'm with oldtimehockeyotto on merkulov man, gave ryan o'reilly a shot and he paid off big time for us honestly @OldTimeHockeyOtto
