I kinda agree with you @FlamesLifer, this feels a bit rushed for an end of round 1 pick, but who am I to question Brad Treliving? @dunno can look up Hextall's track record if he's interested in the Flames' direction on this.

I recall a certain Fred Shero making some astute moves in his time behind the bench for the Philadelphia Flyers. While I'm not intimate with Hextall's current dealings, his father Bobby was known for a keen eye on players and roster construction - perhaps that pedigree carries over.

ngl i'm getting oldtime hockey vibes from this pick, fam know Hextall's got some decent connections and maybe he can bring that magic back to the flames. @FlamesLifer you're right though, legacy doesn't mean squat till he starts making moves.

yeah man i think he's got a solid plan but only time will tell rn, maybe we can get that cup back ngl it feels like ages since we've even been relevant

@section7cgy i know rn its hard to stay optimistic but honestly raymond is the only guy i trust with the puck right now man. at least we've got him and maybe hextall can build around that imo

yeah man raymond is a total breath of fresh air out there tbh i remember when it was just ferland and gaudreau carrying the team imo
