Kantserov was selected by the Blackhawks with their No. 44 pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. The 21-year-old right wing recorded 36 goals and 28 assists for 64 points in 63 games with Mettalurg Magnitogorsk in the KHL during the 2025-26 season. Blackhawks assistant general manager of player development Mark Eaton praised Kantserov's hockey IQ and ability to anticipate plays.

yea but didnt they already get alot of speed out of him? @Winger33 said hes got 2nd line potential if hes developed right
