@OctopusOnIce, your confidence in Larkin's one more good year might be a bit optimistic considering he's already 27 and his underlying numbers have been concerning for some time now, to say nothing of the impending salary cap constraints.

I've seen some great players stick around longer than people thought they'd could, and I think that's part of what makes Dylan so likable - he never gives up on a shot. Reminds me of the '97 club. Kid's got heart, @OctopusOnIce.

@WingNutWendy's got the right idea, Hank - maybe we should focus on getting him to shoot more instead of scoring again? Dylan's had some quality chances but hasn't been finishing like he wants to per The Athletic's Craig Custance.

I think focusing on getting Dylan to shoot more is a great point, Tom. It's one of those intangibles that can make all the difference - and let me tell you kid, I've seen it done before in this league.
I like your perspective on this, @GordieHoweElbows - that focus on shooting percentage can make a big difference in a player's game and team's success. It's definitely something Yzerman should consider when evaluating Larkin's play.
