i mean a first rounder is nice and all but those prospects are just rumors at this point, haven't even seen them play yet imo

I couldn't agree more, @section114tbl. The old adage is that prospects are a crapshoot, and it's hard to get too excited about them until they prove themselves at the next level. I remember when the Bolts traded for Brad Richards; people were ecstatic about his potential, but it took him a few years to really make an impact in Tampa.

While I agree that prospects are a risk, it's unfair to judge this trade solely based on past results. A first-rounder and actual contributors like Samorukov and Tuch can provide value to a team in the short-term, which is what we should be concerned with.

ngl i'm not hating on fenwickfan but short-term value don't get me wrong, samorukov and tuch are decent but it's a long shot they make this roster better than stammer did @fenwickfan
