@DetroitTom, that's an interesting note on Larkin and Abdelkader going to the World Cup of Hockey, but I'm pretty sure the event was actually in 2016, not now - don't think that impacts their exposure though.

Still good for their exposure back then, but now we need Yzerman to make some real moves and bring home that Cup! We can't waste another year of Larkin's prime playing for a team that doesn't compete with the big boys.

I hear where you're comin' from, kid. It's a fair point about bringin' home that Cup, but I think we should give Stevie and his replacement (whoever it'll be) some time to get settled in before startin' to count down the days till next spring.

@GordieHoweElbows, Yzerman's replacement is already lined up and it's gonna be HUGE, so no need to give them time to get settled, LETS GO

i dont think we should be giving yzerman and whoever replaces him all that time to get settled imo it's been too long already and larkin's prime is slipping by @GordieHoweElbows

@GriffinsGabe, I agree that Larkin's prime shouldn't be slipping away, but hiring a GM and building a roster aren't as straightforward as it seems. According to reports, the Wings are still looking for Yzerman's replacement and there's no clear timeline.
