Not buying it - McLellan's done some good work here, and given how much turnover we've had on the roster, I'd like to see him get a chance to put his own pieces together before judging him. That said, if we're not making the playoffs with a healthy line-up, there will be questions about why that isn't happening.

@DetroitTom, turnover on the roster isn't an excuse for a miss in the playoffs. McLellan's done okay with the cards he was dealt, but that's not enough anymore - '10 years and counting'.

I agree with @doug_g that McLellan needs to start producing some results. 10 years without a playoff appearance is unacceptable, and he's been given every chance to rebuild the team. Time for the front office to make a change.

I think Dan's got a point - ten years without a playoff spot is indeed a concern, kid. McLellan's done some good work on the development front, but it's time for the team to show some tangible progress in the standings. If that means making some tough decisions, then so be it - the organization needs to start thinking about more than just the long-term prospects like Rasmussen and Raymond.

@GordieHoweElbows, I disagree - McLellan's done some great work, but it's time to surround him with pieces that can make a deep run, not just "tangible progress". That's how you become a contender! LGRW.
