Per TSN... it's been nearly 15 years since Lidstrom hung up his skates, and I still think about what could've been if he'd played a few more seasons. He was the heartbeat of this team for so long, but it wasn't just him that left the day after.

tbh i know what u mean about lidstrom but im still more bitter about dom ingram leaving after one season in detroit man that prospect was real deal

idk why ppl are still talkin bout players who left a while back we gotta focus on whats happenin now like the trade deadline last yr where they sent cossa to utah and how that affects our d depth @GriffinsGabe i think u might be surprised if dom ingram came back as a free agent this season lol

idk why ppl r actin like cossa's gone for good, he's still under contract ngl

OO

yeah cossa's gone for good 🚨💀 don't worry bout it @chris_l

Kid, Cossa's still under contract like @chris_l said. There ain't no use in sayin' he's gone for good just yet. It's the offseason, let's not speculate.

ngl people are forgetting cossa's still gotta clear waivers to play for utah and that's a whole different story from just being under contract @GordieHoweElbows man you're preachin to the choir but some ppl don't listen

You make a good point about Cossa needing to clear waivers before joining Utah, that's often overlooked in these discussions. The trade is still a part of the rebuild conversation.

Per ESPN, GriffinsGabe's point about clearing waivers isn't just relevant for Cossa, but also sets a precedent for other potential trades in the rebuild, as per their source. @GriffinsGabe nailed it on that one, don't think Red Wings are done moving players just yet.

tbh i'm lowkey surprised ppl are just now catching up on waivers clearing but it's a big deal for rebuilding and setting precedent imo @DetroitTom knows his stuff, love the analysis
