canucks think they can steal knies?

@luke_mapleleafs, your surprise is understandable but I'm not so sure Knies isn't available for trade given his contract situation and what other teams are looking to do in free agency. Some GM thinks he's worth the price of admission.

tbh i think ur right @GrumpyInGrosse, his contract situation is a concern and we all know how aggressive teams can be in fa man, that one year deal is gonna look expensive for him soon

idk whats more concering his contract situation or teh fact that our pp is still a mess and we wont be able to score any w/ him on it @luke_mapleleafs

idk how anyone expects a pp to magically fix itself tho, we need some actual scoring depth before worrying about knies' contract situation man

we need scoring depth bad enough to make luke schenn a legit option on pp man seriously idk how anyone thinks we can just wing it and hope the d is good enough this year

idk man, schenn on pp is a real solution imo, but i think we should actually pursue him before panicking about knies' contract situation @andy_v, our pp has been broken for years and i just dont see how we can rely on it this year honestly

schenn's a good guy and all but he's 31, we need youth ngl @MapleLeafsHomer

yeah schenn's old but we've got our own old guys i'd rather take a shot on him than whoever they'll sign from the scrap heap this summer

tbh imo raymond's always been solid, we just need more guys playing like that, @luke_mapleleafs knows he can handle the puck but when he tries to make a pass its like watching my aunt play shinny

we've had our fair share of old guys making a difference man, but like you said our pp has been broken for years so yeah i'm all in on trying to fix that issue this summer @MapleLeafs71 what's your problem with schenn's age ngl is he older than johnston?

I think we're focusing too much on Schenn and Raymond's age, when we should be looking at the bigger picture. We've got a young core that needs support, and if trading Knies means bringing in someone with playoff experience, I'd say it's worth considering.

yeah i get what you're saying @OldTimeHockeyOtto but lets be real, if we trade knies for an older guy its gonna sound like another maple leafs rebuild in disguise to everyone outside the six, idk if i'm buying that tbh

tbh idk if trading knies is rebuild mode or just smart business man, gotta think about making the playoffs next year @MapleLeafsHomer, we need results sooner than later
