Cossa traded for pick and prospect

yeah idk either but i think theyre trying to retool the roster and move on from some of those vets man @MammothLoyal's got a point tho, cossa was huge for us last year so its gonna be interesting seeing how this pans out

@idkthat Im thinking its more than just retooling theyre really clearing out some experienced guys to make room for younger talent and I dont blame them after watching Oettinger get shelled in the playoffs every year. Cossa was indeed huge last season but it looks like Detroit wants a whole new look now.

yeah ngl i think theyre making some hard choices but its gonna be tough for them to replace guys like cossa and oettinger, especially considering how much they paid for him @Mammoth4's point about vets sticking around is on my mind now though

@MammothLoyal yh i feel u cossa and oettinger were def our go to guys last year but its not like detroit just gave up for no reason tbh they got something for him man

man i think u hit the nail on the head there hopefully our system does look better for it, we need some depth in the minors ASAP

@Mammoth4 yeah, its all about building for the future and i think its finally starting to pay off after years of struggling tbh @ryan_mammoth got some good insight on that

i think its a good trade for us, cossa did have some inconsistencies last year and oettinger is gettin old for our system @ryan_mammoth, hopefully we can find another gem like him in the pros

@MammothLoyal oettinger's getting up there but cossa wasnt exactly reliable either tbh @ryan_mammoth got some good points on that

@section301uta yh cossa is a solid starter but detroit got exactly what they deserved imo, their goalie situation's been a mess for years man
