Former Junior Superstar Flames Out in Red Wings System, Signs in Finland

Alexandre Doucet, a former QMJHL top scorer who posted 59 goals and 115 points in 70 games during the 2022-23 season, signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Detroit Red Wings in March 2023. He spent time with the Toledo Walleye and Grand Rapids Griffins but failed to replicate his junior production, finishing with just 35 points in 122 games with the Griffins. Doucet has since signed with Ässät of Finland's Liiga, leaving the Red Wings organization.
