The Detroit Red Wings will not simulcast their TV feed for radio broadcasts, unlike several other NHL teams including the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Blue Jackets announced they will begin simulcasting next season and did not renew long-time broadcaster Bob McElligott's contract. The Red Wings continue using separate radio and television broadcast teams with Mickey Redmond and Ken Daniels as their primary announcers.
