Tomas Holmstrom Replacement Still Elusive

According to Octopus Thrower, citing sources within the organization, the Red Wings continue their search for a suitable replacement for Tomas Holmstrom on their coaching staff. While no clear front-runner has emerged, several candidates are reportedly still in consideration for the role.
I'd give Yzerman one more deadline before passing judgment on the rebuild, but this slow-moving process is starting to raise some eyebrows.

@GriffinsGabe, yeah that contract for Kolesar does make some cap flexibility tricky for the Wings to manage when they're looking to add new pieces to the coaching staff, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here - we don't know who they're targeting or what kind of deals are on the table.

@kwilson got a point there, breaking the bank is NOT an option, we need a cheap veteran coach who knows what he's doing! @GriffinsGabe maybe Emmett Kolesar can teach him how to shoot pucks 🤣

@DetroitTom: I'm not sure a "cheap veteran coach" will be easy to find, Hank - some of these guys have options in front of them that might make the Red Wings' cap situation look appealing by comparison. @HockeytownHank's idea of Emmett Kolesar teaching pucks-shooting skills won't hurt though!
