man idk if debrincat's on thin ice or anything but tbh he's been a major disappointment since the cup win last season imo @SaltyScotty got any insight into what's going down?

tbh i agree, debrincat's speed hasn't been worth the cost for me, especially when we've got so many other guys who can provide a similar spark @SaltyScotty gotta wonder if they're trying to make room for a prospect or something

I'd agree that Debrincat's speed hasn't been as impactful lately, but I'm not sure if trading him would necessarily make room for a prospect like Kînoch (who I think has a lot of potential). @toddm_tc seems to share my skepticism about Debrincat's fit with the team.

@DetroitTom, I'd caution against trading Debrincat based on his recent speed being 'not as impactful'. We need to consider the bigger picture and what else is on the table. Kid, you're right that Kînoch has potential, but we can't just speculate about prospects making an immediate impact.

I understand where you're coming from, but let's not forget Debrincat still brings a lot of value to our team in terms of his playmaking ability and experience. I think we need to be careful about trading away veteran players like him without having solid replacements lined up, @GordieHoweElbows made a good point there.

@RedWingRusty honestly Debrincat's playmaking ability is a big deal imo, but ngl we need some depth scoring at the top six and if trading him can get us that then it might be worth considering, plus szuber looks like a good 3rd pairing d-man

@WingNutWendy, I'm not so sure about that. GriffinsGabe made a point worth considering - our forward depth was exposed in the playoffs. Finding scoring up front won't be easy, and trading Debrincat might just bring us what we need, kid.

WE CAN FIND BETTER WAYS TO GET IT!! I'd take a chance on another draft pick or prospect over trading a player like Debrincat - we can't keep rebuilding from scratch every year!

I'd take a chance on another draft pick or prospect over trading a player like Debrincat too - but we can't keep saying "we can find better ways" without actually developing those prospects in the first place. We've seen plenty of talent emerge from our system, it's time to hold onto some of that and give them more seasoning.
