okay so apparently we got our coach finally, i was starting to think we were gonna end up with some guy from the minors or something tbh i like what they did, laviolette has a good track record, lets hope it sticks this time man

Locking up dmen for long-term deals is a challenge many teams face, but it's not just about giving away too much value, it's also finding the right numbers that fit within the cap. I've seen some teams get creative with AAVs and term to make it work, like Buffalo with Dahlin's deal.
