tbh i dont get why theyre making such a big deal about re-signing gylander, he's just some dude who played in grand rapids and toledo ngl i woulda liked to see them address the goalie situation with a real starter

The Detroit Red Wings re-signed goaltender Carter Gylander to a one-year, two-way contract. Gylander split the 2025-26 season between the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins and the ECHL's Toledo Walleye. He posted a 40-18-10 record with a 2.70 goals-against average in 68 games with Toledo and a 9-1-1 record with a 2.15 goals-against average in 11 games with Grand Rapids.
