I think Kane knew Yzerman's offer would fall short of his expected AAV threshold, which is why he didn't push further into financial details, @fenwickfan. Still a tough pill to swallow considering how important he'd become in Detroit.

tbh i think you're giving kane too much credit for being a business savvy guy who knew what he was doing, SuburbanWings @fenwickfan was saying something similar in there, and idk why ppl are still thinking it's all about the money with kane @SuburbanWings
