Former Detroit Red Wings goaltender Michael Hutchinson has announced his retirement from professional hockey. Hutchinson had spent time with the organization during the 2023-24 campaign after being signed to a professional tryout agreement and later receiving a one-year, two-way contract extension. This follows Jack Campbell's recent retirement after spending one season with the Red Wings and their AHL affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins.
