I'd agree that Pittsburgh needs to get creative with their cap space after losing Rust and McCann for relatively nothing. Maybe they should look into some hidden gems in free agency or the draft like they've done before.

These guys wouldn't last a shift in '97. You think free agency is where they need to get creative? The Pens need to start by developing their own talent and stop relying on scraps from other teams.

ngl grumpyin grosse has a point we gotta get our own guys stepping up instead of relying on free agent scraps but honestly that's easier said than done man

i dont think its that easy to just "fix" the pens development issues, weve been saying that for years and im starting to think were stuck in this cycle ngl @ryan_penguins got a good point about relying on free agent scraps though man

tbh im all for developing our own talent but u gotta think some of these free agents are worth taking a chance on man, ngl the cap space is gonna be tight this offseason though @Penguins17 said something similar about raymond and id agree with that

The cap space being tight this offseason? I'm no expert but it's been a problem for years now and you'd think they'd find a way to manage it properly. Back in my day teams made due with less money and had players who actually committed to the team, not just for a contract.

back in yer day they mightve made due with less money but times changed man now its a multi-billion dollar league and you gotta spend to keep up @GrumpyInGrosse

@Penguins17 come on man weve been sayin "times changed" for years now and yet still strugglin to spend like other teams honestly its just an excuse at this point
