According to ESPN, the Red Wings are reportedly nearing a deal with Viktor Arvidsson after his impressive stint with the Bruins where he tallied 25 goals. This move makes sense for Detroit's top-nine, and it's about time they address their goal-scoring woes from last season.
Kid, I've been hearing about Arvidsson's goal-scoring ability for years now. Reminds me of Henrik Zetterberg's first season here, too - lots of scoring punch. @HockeytownHank, you're gettin' ahead a mite though, still gotta be some moving parts before we know if it's done deal.

Kid's enthusiasm is commendable, but I think we're getting a little ahead of ourselves here. We don't know yet if Arvidsson brings that same work ethic Zetterberg did - let's give the man a chance before making judgments about his habits on and off the ice. @DetroitTom, you've been saying it for weeks now, patience is key!

come on gordie, we all know zetterberg's work ethic was unmatched but lets not forget he also put up 50 goals like 8 times, that kind of production takes a toll, i just wanna see if arvidsson can bring it here in detroit @HockeytownHank
