Klepov's Fast-Track Opportunity with Ducks
These kids are developing faster than I ever did, I'll give them that much. Trading away McTavish for a pick and selecting Klepov 15th overall tells me the Ducks think they've got a real gem on their hands. Back in my day a prospect didn't get such luxury of being fast-tracked to the NHL so easily.
I'd caution against putting too much stock in his draft position, as those numbers don't necessarily dictate NHL success. Klepov's own metrics from his time at Cornell were quite impressive, with an expected goals percentage above 55%. @sam_t87 should consider looking past the draft spot and focus on actual production when evaluating prospects.
