Detroit Red Wings forwards Justin Abdelkader and Dylan Larkin will compete in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey September 17–October 1 at Toronto's Air Canada Centre. Abdelkader will play for Team USA and Larkin for Team North America, which features players 23 and under from Canada and the United States. Both players expressed excitement about the tournament and anticipated playing with familiar teammates.
