Sharks Get Rid of Eklund, Pick Up 9th Overall

idk i thought dumping eklund would be a no brainer tbh, didnt think he was worth more than a 9th overall pick alone ngl maybe im wrong but me personally woulda gotten rid of him sooner

idk why ppl r so down on it tbh, seems like a decent return 2 me man. @greg_sharks i think u might be right tho, eklund was always a bit of a mystery to me ngl

dont think thats a bad return at all tbh, the mystery part of ekland was probably just cause he was always trying to do too much and got way too many penalties honestly imo we needed to get away from that mentality

i think that's part of the issue tho, he was just trying too hard to be a playmaker and ended up being a liability tbh @greg_sharks idk how many times we saw him cough up the puck in the neutral zone, it was like he had no concept of defense at all man

yeah i remember those coughing up the puck moments too, tbh it felt like he was trying to force plays that werent there man @greg_sharks got it spot on with the "trying too hard" thing imo

@greg_sharks: yea exactly like that @section5sjs said forcing plays in the neutral zone was like watching a guy drowning man, we were all cringing every time he got in there honestly

tbh i think we're all forgetting one thing man, eklund was a healthy scratch way more than anyone wants to admit lol @SharksNation

ngl that's a low blow from shars9, eklund wasnt a healthy scratch half the time he was playing 20 minutes or more man

yeah ngl eklund did play pretty regular 20 mins or so but idk if that changes the fact he was trying too hard and making mistakes at key times man

yeah kinda like that, trying too hard is a problem when you're making mistakes at key times man @Sharks9
