Stienburg's here for a year

@Canucks2, I think there's more to him than a depth guy - 57% of his goals were from high-danger chances last season in the SHL, which suggests some genuine scoring ability.

yeah that's what gets me excited about him too @fenwickfan, now we just gotta see if he can translate that to the nhl man

yup exactly man, its all about making that transition now ngl i think he's got some good tools but consistency in the SHL dont always translate to the show tbh

i dont think thats a given at all, lots of guys come from europe and struggle man ngl you need a decent supporting cast too, can't just expect them to score by themselves in the show.

yup totally agree @Canucks2, need some of those swede scorers to click with guys like Raymond and Garland or we're in trouble man ngl.

yup totally agree man, swedish scorers are a whole other beast on their own, and we need some of them to click ASAP or its gonna be a long season lol

Reminds me of the '92 draft class when a certain Swedish forward named Tomas Sandstrom joined the Red Wings. While consistency is indeed a concern for Stienburg, I believe our organization has shown faith in his abilities by signing him for at least a year, which speaks to some level of promise being seen in this young player.

yeah @nick_canucks, 2 years out of junior is nothing, and stienburg had a pretty solid camp last season man.
