@WingsInFour I agree completely, Holland's approach made sense to me too - building for the future can be just as exciting as winning now. Reminds me of the '97 club, patience was rewarded then and it will be again with these young prospects. Kid's gotta learn sometime!

Reminds me of the '97 club indeed! I think we've been too quick to dismiss that approach just because it didn't pan out with Yzerman at the helm LGRW is coming back around on us!

I think @HockeytownHank hit on a key point - we can't just win now, but I'm not convinced Yzerman's approach was the sole reason the current rebuild isn't working yet. Let's see who we end up hiring as our next GM before we start praising Holland's legacy again.

@WingNutWendy I'm all for winning now kid, but dismissing Yzerman's approach without giving our new GM a chance doesn't seem fair to me. We can't just expect someone new to wave a magic wand and suddenly we're a Cup contender, let's be patient.
