The Columbus Blue Jackets will begin their 2018-19 NHL season on October 4 against the Detroit Red Wings. The team's home opener is scheduled for October 5 against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Blue Jackets will play 82 games total, including 41 home games at Nationwide Arena.
