A woman who was unable to have children became pregnant after meeting the Stanley Cup in 1996 when Mike Ricci brought it to her hometown for a party. The pregnancy occurred approximately 20 years ago, and the couple had been trying to conceive for nearly 17 years before this event. The woman's mother had taken anti-miscarriage medication that made pregnancy difficult.
