Red Wings Missed Bourque by a Hair

@GriffinsGabe, Bourque would've been nice, but Larkin's still our main man! He'll get there, don't count on him slumping for long!

@WingsInFour I think Larkin has more to prove than just getting back to his previous form - he needs to demonstrate consistency over a full season. Sources say the coaching staff has been high on Oesterreich's development and he could be an interesting option to slot into the top six.

@DetroitTom, I understand your concerns about Larkin's consistency, kid. But I think we're getting ahead of ourselves here - it's mid-July and we've still got to see who else we bring in before we start worrying about our existing players. Let's see what the summer brings for this team.

@GordieHoweElbows don't worry about who else we bring in, we got Oesterreich already and let's not forget Hronek's gonna be a stud in the back!

I think Oesterreich has a lot to learn, but I'm excited about his potential, kid. And as for Hronek, he's been a rock on the blue line for us, no question. But we shouldn't get too caught up in predicting how everything is gonna fall into place just yet - there's still a lot of work to be done before training camp.

@GordieHoweElbows fair point about getting ahead of ourselves - it's just we don't have much to go on in terms of summer additions so far per TSN. Your optimism regarding Oesterreich and Hronek is definitely warranted, but I'd love to see more depth and quality added via free agency or trade.

@WingNutWendy I'm right there with you, Wendy! If Larkin finds his scoring touch again and we get some more depth on the wings, WE'RE GONNA BE UNSTOPPABLE 🔥

@MotorCityMolly honestly i think we're getting a little ahead of ourselves here, need some actual roster moves and training camp numbers before we start calling ourselves unstoppable lol
