Patrick Kane posted a farewell message to the Detroit Red Wings, thanking the organization and fans before rejoining the Chicago Blackhawks. Kane had 57 goals and 106 assists in three seasons with the Red Wings before signing a two-year deal with Chicago. He set an NHL record for most points by a U.S.-born player and joined the 500-goal club during his time in Detroit.
