yep this is basically the problem we've been seeing for years tbh theyre not gonna be able to sign anyone decent @OldTimer99 was saying on another thread that its only a matter of time before sakic has to make some tough decisions

yeah idk how sakic's gonna make those hard decisions when theyre tied to the core like that, feels like they're getting into an even tighter spot @OldTimer99 was preaching the same thing about cap hell tho

yeah i agree, sakic's gotta make some tough calls and it wont be easy for him, wonder if theyll actually make a big trade or just keep scrambling for depth pieces man @Avalanche9 said the same thing about being stuck with the core, thats gotta weigh on their minds right now

idk man, makin trade decisions when you've got all these guys tied up for cap space is like tryin to guess which horse is gonna win the derby while bein blindfolded @Avalanche9 i think he made it pretty clear we aint exactly rollin deep in prospect depth either

I think it's premature to say they need to make "cuts" when they're still well within the cap limit, and their roster composition isn't a major concern yet. The bigger issue is their limited flexibility for the future. @OldTimer99 had some good points on this in another thread.

man i think you're being kinda optimistic about their cap situation tbh they got a bunch of guys making big money and its gonna be tough to make room for some young blood @jen_avalanche i'm with you, feels like sakic's gotta make some tough decisions ASAP man
