I'm not buying it just yet, but if true I suppose Kane's return is a nod to our storied past, recalling Terry Sawchuk's consistent play for us back in the '50s and '60s. His value lies in being a reliable scoring presence, reminiscent of Ted Lindsay's gritty efforts from the top line.
