Patrick Kane returns to the Chicago Blackhawks on a two-year contract after playing 16 of his first 19 NHL seasons with the team. Despite being limited to 67 games with the Detroit Red Wings last season, Kane ranked fourth on the team in goals, assists, points per game, even-strength goals, and game-winning goals. Kane could see top-line usage for Chicago while the team starts the season without Connor Bedard, who is recovering from shoulder surgery.

What's your read, folks?

OT

I remember him well in his Chicago days, of course. Not surprised he's going back, the lure of home and whatnot always strong on these players. Good for him, I suppose, I just wish we'd see some movement on our own front here in Detroit, would like to think Yzerman's successor is getting the job done in that regard.
